Kerry, Edwards, exploiting fairy tale of stem cell research

It has been a while since I've seen a more loathsome disply of demagoguery by proesidential wants to be.
  1. The inability of the human spinal cord to regenerate is one of the great unknown of biology. the answer is as remote as planet Jupiter.
  2. Wher cure will be discoved, it will comes from area we've no idea of which at this point.
  3. To imply that Bush a prevented superman from ever to walk/fly again.....
  4. "Ban" there is no ban. this is false. Bush is the first president to approve federal funding for stem cell research.

so, Dear Edwards, and Kerry, it looks like there is absolutly nothing you won't do/say just to get elected!

Comments:
It's customary in science to attribute other people's statements. The original posting sounds so much like Laura Bush and Charles Krauthammer. Neither of them seems to be biased in favor of whatever the Bush administration does, and both speak of unequivocable scientific authority.

The assessment of research prospects would better be left with scientists. The Bush administration has introduced the limitations per the number of lines of stem cells being used for research (of course, you may give up funding). Try to ask scientists about the research climate under Bush, instead of listening to Bushies.

Inteligent people argue with premises and don't dismiss oponents by association or by labels such as "instead of listening to Bushies"...

By the way, being a "scientist" does not give anyone validation - they can make points like anyone else... Like Asking a nuclear scientist about the politics of the atom-bomb... Or asking a java programmer about the future of the Internet... Asking a physicist about global-warming etc. They must make a convincing point.

I afree with Krauthammer, but not because he is a physician or paraplegic - rather becaue as a political columnist he makes sense (and has for 20 years).

My opinion.. :) :)
